We collaborated with Disney to create Habit Heroes, an action packed exhibit located in INNOVENTIONS at Epcot that helps families and kids develop the healthy powers we all have within ourselves. Sticky Studios was contracted for game design and technical development, collaborating with Walt Disney Imagineering on technical integration and sponsor Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida on game design.
In order, the exhibit features three activities each respectively circulating around three issues: excessive screen time (taking place in Control Freak's electronic lair), excessive junk foods (featuring The Snacker and Sweet Tooth) and predisposition to inactivity (featuring Leadbottom).
In the first activity following the preshow, participants are led into a cylindrical room (Control Freak's electronic lair), in which the walls are decked with multiple control panels, and the aim of this activity us to sprint from one control panel to another, to switch off the falling televisions. Following the activity, participants are led into a room with an arrangement of cannons and participants are to shoot down city scenes constructed from junk foods, with broccoli, carrots and blueberries for ammunition.
For the third activity, participants are led into a room with a dancing grid, and participants are encouraged to partake in a physically active dance routine, and likely to get Leadbottom to dance along as well.
Epcot is the second of four theme parks built at Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida. It is dedicated to the celebration of human achievement, namely technological innovation and international culture, and is often referred to as a "Permanent World's Fair."
